Delicious hand pies filled with savory turkey, perfect for a snack or meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add onions, garlic, carrots, and celery. Sauté until softened.
  3. Add ground turkey, thyme, salt, and pepper; cook until turkey is no longer pink.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine; remove from heat.
  5. Roll out pie crusts and cut into circles.
  6. Fill each circle with turkey mixture, fold, and seal edges.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • These hand pies can be frozen before baking for later use.
