Delicious mini tartlets made with a rich pecan filling.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, powdered sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in the egg yolk and mix until dough forms.
  5. Press the dough into mini tartlet pans and bake for 15 minutes.
  6. In another bowl, mix maple syrup, brown sugar, cream, and vanilla.
  7. Stir in pecans and pour into baked crusts.
  8. Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  9. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • These tartlets can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature for the best flavor.
