- 500 ml cream
- 200 ml milk
- 100 g sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 5 egg yolks
- 1 packet gelatin
- 1 pinch salt
- In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla sugar, and heat gently.
- In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks, then add to the saucepan.
- Soften the gelatin in cold water, then add it to the mixture and stir until dissolved.
- Allow to cool slightly before pouring into glasses.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
- Serve chilled, optionally topped with fruit or chocolate.
Notes
- Best enjoyed chilled after a good meal.
- Can be decorated with berries or mint leaves for a beautiful presentation.
