Delicate Bavarian cream served in a glass, perfect for a sweet ending to your meal.

Ingredients

  • 500 ml cream
  • 200 ml milk
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1 packet gelatin
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla sugar, and heat gently.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks, then add to the saucepan.
  3. Soften the gelatin in cold water, then add it to the mixture and stir until dissolved.
  4. Allow to cool slightly before pouring into glasses.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
  6. Serve chilled, optionally topped with fruit or chocolate.

Notes

  • Best enjoyed chilled after a good meal.
  • Can be decorated with berries or mint leaves for a beautiful presentation.
